The high level alarm system for liquefied gas carriers
The high level alarm system for liquefied gas carriers
(1) The high level alarm system should be operated during both loading and discharging operations.
(2) The high level and/or shut-down systems can be overridden by a key switch. There should be a written procedure detailing under what circumstances and by whom the system may be overridden.
(3) The system should only be overridden in exceptional circumstances, such as if the tank has been overfilled and it is necessary to by-pass the overflow control system to discharge the tank.
